Austria’s top chefs leave their familiar kitchens and create culinary surprises for fellow JRE chefs across the country. They do not cook in their own restaurants, but at somebody else’s stove. Who will be in the kitchen? That remains a closely guarded secret until the first courses are served.
On October 7, 2026 at 6:30 PM, the Mesnerhaus becomes the stage for this extraordinary guest appearance: A renowned top chef from another JRE restaurant takes over our kitchen for one evening. Who will be cooking for you? You’ll only find out as this exciting culinary evening unfolds.
The Roulette Principle: Josef Steffner hands his stove over to a fellow member of the JRE family. The guest chef brings special ingredients from their home region and combines them with the treasures of our region to create a unique 5-course menu. A culinary surprise that will amaze even our long-standing regular guests!
