Elena Schwarz | Der Buhle Wert
An evening between dramatic intensity and pure culinary pleasure.
Sinner and seductress, abandoned and spurned, guilty woman and poisoner – the figure of the lover has shaped the entire history of literature. Actress Elena Schwarz casts a vivid red light on these fascinating female figures and removes famous monologues from their classical context. When Gretchen’s desperate pleas and Ophelia’s madness merge with gripping poems, dark ballads and ancient biblical passages, a liturgically extravagant evening unfolds on red velvet.
She is masterfully accompanied by musician Maksim Franke. Together, they take you on an intense journey through desire and loss, brush against guilt like delicate silk and balance ecstatically close to the human abyss.
